The start.
- NTM Nick the Marketer officially begins. Two people doing the work, with one simple goal: do what you say you're going to do and actually make marketing work.
Nick the Marketer didn't start with a big plan. It started with a shift, and a gap that didn't make sense.
Before this, Nick spent years in advertising. From working with brands like Coca-Cola and Costco to selling radio, the focus was always the same: how do you get people to actually take action?
How you say something matters. And when it's done right, it works.
Around 2016–2017, things started changing. Businesses weren't just asking about radio anymore. They were asking: "Can you help me get found on Google?" "Can you build me a website?" "Can we run ads online too?"
It was clear: everything was shifting to digital. So Nick made the move into digital marketing. But after getting inside the industry, something felt off.
"There were good people. But there was also a lot of overpromising… and not a lot of follow-through."
At one point, Nick thought he was heading back to radio. That didn't happen. So instead of going back, he bet on himself.
No perfect timing. No safety net. Just a simple idea: there's a better way to do this, and it should actually work.
The goal wasn't to build another agency. It was to build something that actually delivered: do what you say you're going to do, show the work, show the results, keep it simple and honest.
The name "Nick the Marketer" wasn't even planned. It came from people around him who saw what he was doing and said, "That's just who you are." It stuck.
Eight years of building, hiring, launching, learning, and getting better at the work along the way.
